Possum Trapping

Possum Trapping

We address nuisance possums, North America’s only native marsupial, primarily through safe trapping and removal using large cage traps. The opossum is nocturnal and omnivorous, eating just about anything, and while they aren't frequent home invaders, they can be caught in an attic, stuck in a vent, or even a chimney with a missing cap. The female opossum, whose babies are about the size of a navy bean when born, may have as many as 25 babies to ensure some survive. The best method to get rid of these animals is trapping, though one-way exclusion doors also work if they are living in an attic. Book our services for prompt opossum removal.

The Virginia Opossum can be found in most of the United States east of the Rocky Mountains and uses its keen sense of smell to locate food like garbage and carrion. Opossums like to show off their big row of teeth to ward off potential predators, or they may "play possum" (play dead) and emit a foul smell as if they were a dead carcass. The babies are nursed in the mother's pouch and may have between seven and eight offspring survive. The Virginia Opossum can be found in most of the United States east of the Rocky Mountains.
